Shopping in WA
In Australia, you can enjoy all kinds of shops, from supermarkets to weekend markets or farmers' markets. The cities offer a variety of fashion boutiques, art galleries, gift shops and other retail outlets.
Look for inspiration along the waterfront shopping boulevards, wander the stalls of farmers/ markets, browse handmade treasures, discover unusual collectibles, or pick up a case of your favourite varietal at a boutique cellar door in a small country town.
Inland, the lovely patchwork of township, farmland and vineyards is a trove of antique emporiums, roadside stalls, art and craft galleries and village stores.
Opening hours are different, but mind that most shops close at 6 pm, some are closed at weekends, and certainly no one is working on public holidays.
Of course, you cannot leave Australia without buying a unique Australian opal, or a piece of gold in a special pendant or something Aboriginal. In the printing house of Perth you can buy excellent coins for your collection or just memories.
